My magazines fit good. The whole set up fits well to my belt, and although I haven’t tried them out on the range, I believe they will hold up well, and belt retension looks good so far. More reviews to come if there is an issue there, but I don’t think it would be.
A couple of things i might change if i had my way:
1- the flare at the top of the magazine pouch is unnecessarily excessive. It actually causes my middle finger to rub on it as I withdraw my mags and that is unpleasant. I will probably use my heat gun to reduce the amount of flare.
2- The magazine pouches comes with 3 heavy duty elastic bands, which securely holds the magazine in place, but I removed all three bands and the tension on the magazine is still good without them, but in the heat of the moment I may inadvertently cause the two walls to break apart,( just guessing this may happen), so I will wrap the magazine pouch possibly with a 3/8” strip of velcro just as a backup to keep the two halves from breaking apart, if that is even possible.
3- The website shows a logo on the front of the pouch, but they came without a logo. That is not in anyway a problem or cause for concern as they look good, they are sturdy and should last a long time.
Hey Ken,
Those bands are there to provide the retention on your magazine carrier and by default come with the 3 bands. If you want less retention I would suggest going down to 1 band, this should give you just enough retention to be able to easily draw and holster your mags. Do not run these without a band as it will cause failure in the carrier. If there's anything else you can always reach us at sales@grayfoxstrategic.ca
