You can run a holster without one, but why?
A little tricky to install yourself - if you’re going to get it, might as well let the Pros do it.

I’m glad that I have it, but I was really used to the Safariland that I had at work. I found this not to be firm enough, both in terms of elastic tension, and the rigidity of the Tegris panel. To be fair to the product, I’ve only used it a few times on a square range so far.
The leg strap is functional but I worry about durability as the rough edges of the anchor part have already begun to fray the strap.
